Flourish: Cultivate Work & Witness is a one-day conference designed to explore how we can have a faithful presence in our workplaces by allowing our work and our witness to flourish. Come and hear about the Biblical theology of work and how our work is meant to be a means of blessing the world. We invite you to prayerfully partner with God in cultivating the purpose and impact of your work by allowing your work to become an act of worship and a powerful testimony to His goodness.

A gospel shaped faith informs and shapes all dimensions of life including our work. Yet we often struggle to connect our Sunday faith with our Monday work. For many followers of Jesus there is a sizeable gap between the faith we profess on Sunday and the life we live in our Monday workplaces. What is at stake when we live with a Sunday to Monday gap? How do we narrow the Sunday to Monday gap? Examining the foundational chapters of Genesis, we will explore God’s creation design for embracing a more biblically faithful and integral faith.

We are storied people. From our earliest days, we are drawn to stories. Neuroscience suggests our brains are hardwired for stories. Stories frame our relationships and animate our lives with wonder, memories and meaning. They fuel our imaginations and the stories we hear and tell ourselves shape not only our daily lives but also our paid and unpaid work. But what story is shaping our work? Is it a story of frustration or fulfillment, a story of exhaustion or rest, a story of anxiety or peace, a story of meaning or meaninglessness? There is good news. The robust biblical theology of a gospel shaped faith gives us a new coherent, integral and transformational work story.

No matter our specific work calling, we are all in “full-time” Christian work. We may not be called to vocational ministry, but God has called each of us to a Gospel Monday mission. But what does this calling entail? Do we see our Monday world of paid or unpaid work as a primary place God has called us to serve him and love our neighbor? How do we navigate workplace challenges like workism and burnout? In our historical and cultural moment, a wide-open door of opportunity awaits us.
