Teachers

A teacher will be in charge of a class of 6-8 children leading bible lesson discussions and craft activities. For next ministry year (starting in Fall) we need 4-5 more teachers!

Youth TA‘s

A youth TA will be partnering with a teacher in a class supporting children in their discussions and craft activities. For next ministry year (starting in Fall) we need 5-6 more youth TA’s!

Kids for Christ (KfC)

(4th-6th Grade)

KfC serves 4th to 6th grade children at church. The vision of the ministry is to partner with families of the church so that children would accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and grow as disciples of Jesus throughout their lives.

Grove (Youth Group)

(7th-12th Grade)

The Grove is the name of the Youth group for ODPC and we have about 350+ students attending each week. The Youth group consists of 7th grade to 12th grade and we are a combined student group from both the Korean congregation and English congregation families.

We desire to come alongside our families in raising up the next generation of Christ Centered disciples who are able to integrate their faith into all arenas of their life as we grow in integrity, humility, and love. We are an interdependent church, desiring to become a Christ-Centered Community that does the following: Learns God’s word, loves God’s people, and lives by God’s grace.

Sundays

9:20am and 11:20am service, and Family Time for about 15- 20 mins after service for each grade/gender group. Family Time is small group time to discuss the sermon. We need teachers, co-teachers, substitute teachers for Family Time each week.

Fridays

7pm – 9:30pm Grove meetings. Friday nights we have Praise&Prayer nights, Seminars, Game nights, Special events like Christmas parties, Guest speakers, etc. Usually during the school year, we have Friday night small group – led by teachers each week for each grade/gender group – meets for about 30mins. We need teachers, co- teachers, subs for Friday nights.

Year Round

We have events for the students including Turkey bowl, Lock-ins, Summer/Winter Retreats, Missions trips, Praise team, and Senior banquet.

SALT (College)

We want to see more and more college-aged students experiencing this life-changing grace through ODPC. During the school year, SALT ministers to both local and non-local students.

For our local students:

We have developed a year-round SALT GC, going through different studies together, as well as worshiping together through Praise & Prayer nights.

For our non-local students:

We check-in with them throughout the year to make sure they are plugged into a local church and/or campus ministry. During the summer, we host weekly Large Groups that rotate between fellowship, seminars, and worship nights.

We want to continue to bridge the gap between SALT & EC, encouraging SALT students to identify as members at the EC.

NextGen

NextGen exists to connect younger singles (20s-30s) to our church. Through weekly Gospel Communities, Sunday fellowship lunches, and various events, we seek to help our NextGen members to belong in community, pursue spiritual growth, and connect inter-generationally with other life stages at ODPC.

Crossroads (Xrds) is our learning group for recent grads (graduating the prior spring or the winter before) that seeks to unpack our college-aged years, to grow in community in the church, and to prepare us for our upcoming years as a young adult.
