DO I HAVE TO DRESS UP?
No. Feel free to dress comfortably. People at our church wear anything from 3 piece suits, to jeans and a T-shirt. Dress in the way you feel appropriate as you come to worship God and meet with his people.
WHAT IS THE WORSHIP STYLE LIKE?
We have several different worship teams that lead the praise time during our Sunday services. Each team has their distinct sound and feel, but generally our style can be described as “contemporary." Don't be surprised, however, if we sing a hymn or two on any given Sunday.
WHAT IS THE PREACHING STYLE?
The Pastoral Team is deeply committed to solid expositional preaching. What this means is that we’re very serious about teaching the Bible as it presents itself—as the absolute, infallible Word of God relevant today for all our needs.
DO I HAVE TO SAY, SIGN OR GIVE ANYTHING?
No pressure. If you are a guest, feel free to check things out. You won’t be singled out, or be forced to stand. And you can let the offering basket pass when it comes to you. We want you to know that this is your spiritual family before you start giving. If, however, you would like to get more information about the church, or begin the process of connecting with our church family, please fill out a communication card and drop it in the offering basket. This will help us get in touch with you. And you are always welcome to attend a meet & greet session after service with one of our staff and welcoming team.
CAN I BE MYSELF?
Our motto is “Church as a Hospital” rather than “Church as a Museum.” At a museum, things looks pristine, but they’re all dead or artificial and hidden behind glass cases. At a hospital, things are messy and raw. People come as they are—sick and wounded. But it’s real life, and hospitals are where you find the hope for healing and restoration. We want to be this kind of church, where it’s not about appearances, or acting and looking “churchy.” We invite you to come as you are. Bring your brokenness, pain, weakness, and shame and encounter the life changing grace of Jesus Christ. So… “yes”, please be yourself. That's the only way we should come before the Lord.
HOW DO I FIND MORE INFORMATION ABOUT OPEN DOOR?
